I guess they didn't know about Amazons cloud service or the cheap hydro-electricity in Las Vegas or in the Tennessee Valley.
Norton you suck!!!
How did Norton AntiVirus become a scourge to video and anyone running demos.
They push in on to PC's without users even know it, then start popping up Expired Notices, so much for LG's canned video demo in the Fry's store. No one has access to a mouse or Keyboard, yet Norton managed to shove there error message over it.
I remember at time when they were the coolest virus protection company, but when you can't watch a movie at home or play games without this popup it becomes a detriment to anyone making an embedded product.
TUIO - Tangible user interface for Multitouch systems
TUIO is an open framework that defines a common protocol and API for tangible multitouch surfaces. The TUIO protocol allows the transmission of an abstract description of interactive surfaces, including touch events and tangible object states. This protocol encodes control data from a tracker application (e.g. based on computer vision) and sends it to any client application that is capable of decoding the protocol. There exists a growing number of TUIO enabled tracker applications and TUIO client libraries for various programming environments, as well as applications that support the protocol. This combination of TUIO trackers, protocol and client implementations allows the rapid development of table based tangible multitouch interfaces.

Acer T231H Multitouch monitor
I just don't get Acer. It's like they want to keep this a secret or something, I mean there just is almost no information out there on this monitor, if I didn't stumble across it at Fry's I'd never have known about it.
23" Widescreen LCD display - 1920 x 1080 resolution - 80,000:1 contrast ratio
It retails for around $330
It's designed for Multitouch on the new Windows 7 and 8 OS's. & MultiTouchVista. I look like there isn't TUIO support or Linux Support yet.

Samsung Reinvents Windows (Not the OS) With Touchscreen Display
http://videotechnology.blogspot.com/2012/01/ces-2012-transparent-samsung-smart.html
From Slashdot:
Samsung Reinvents Windows (Not the OS) With Touchscreen Display
from the and-you-thought-they-were-expensive-to-break-now dept.
"If you want a large, interactive display on your wall, typically you have to make space for it by moving any pictures out of the way, and finding room next to any shelves or lighting you have installed. Samsung's idea is to remove that problem by creating a transparent display that replaces an actual window, or at least sit over the top of one. The display uses ambient light during the day and then can switch over to a more traditional black background as a night time mode. If you want to shut the daylight out it has virtual blinds you can draw to help darken a room. And from the outside you just like you are tapping your window as none of the graphics can be seen. Yes, your neighbors will talk."
